Our Story
We started with a single van and two clients. What hasn't changed is the belief that cleaning is a craft — and that the difference between adequate and immaculate is almost always attention, not effort.
Everything since has been built around protecting that: the same crew returning to the same site, hours quoted honestly rather than shaved to win the tender, and a written scope that doesn't depend on who is rostered on.
We're not trying to be the cheapest cleaners in Brisbane. We're trying to be the ones you never have to think about again.
How We Began
Built the slow way, on purpose
Our founder spent years cleaning for a large contract franchise before starting Aus National Services. The frustration wasn't the work — it was watching good cleaners sent to a different site every night, given fifteen minutes less than the job needed, and blamed when it showed up in an audit.
So we built the opposite. Cleaners are employed, not subcontracted. They're paid above award and they keep the same sites, which means they learn a building properly: which alarm zone is on a delay, which vinyl can't take a wet mop, which consulting room is never to be entered with the wrong cloth.
That decision made us grow slowly. We're 45 people rather than four hundred, and we still turn down work in areas we can't service well. We'd rather be the company a practice manager recommends to the surgery next door than the one that covers the whole state badly.
The written scope of works came later, after a client pointed out — fairly — that our standard depended on who turned up. Now it doesn't. Every attendance runs to the same document, refined over 8,500 site cleans, and every new cleaner works alongside a senior one for their first month.
