Privacy Policy
What we collect when you ask us for a quote or apply for a job, what we do with it, and who else ever sees it. Short, because we don't do much with it.
Who this is about
This policy covers Aus National Services (ABN 12 638 926 691), and this website. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles set out in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What we collect
Only what we need in order to quote and carry out a clean. If you send the enquiry form on our contact page, that is:
- Your name
- Your email address and phone number
- Your suburb
- The service you're after, and the type of property
- A preferred date, if you give one
- Anything you type into the message box
If you email or message us on WhatsApp instead, we collect whatever you choose to tell us in that conversation. If you go on to book a clean, we'll also hold the address we're attending, any access arrangements you've agreed to, and a record of the visits and invoices.
We don't ask for, and have no use for, your date of birth, your government identifiers, or any of the sensitive information categories the Privacy Act singles out.
If you apply for a job with us
The form on our careers page collects your name, email address, phone number and suburb, the role, hours and type of work you're after, your cleaning experience, whether you have working rights in Australia, and anything you choose to type into the message box. We collect it for one purpose: assessing your application and contacting you about work.
It is seen by the person handling hiring and by the supervisor for the role, and by nobody else. We don't use it for marketing and we don't disclose it without your consent unless the law requires it. If a role is offered, we arrange the police check — and, for childcare, school and some healthcare sites, the Working with Children Check — at our cost and with your written consent. Unsuccessful applications are kept for up to twelve months in case something suitable comes up, then deleted. Ask us to delete yours sooner and we will.
Please don't send identity documents, your date of birth, or medical or financial details through that form. We'll ask for what we genuinely need later on, and tell you why.
How we use it
- To prepare and send you a quote
- To arrange, carry out and confirm the clean
- To invoice you and keep the records the ATO requires
- To answer you when you get in touch
That's the whole list. We don't sell your details, we don't rent them, and we don't hand them to anyone for marketing.
Who else sees it
Two third parties are involved in running this website, and you should know about both:
FormSubmit
The enquiry form is delivered to our inbox by FormSubmit, a form-forwarding service. What you type into the form passes through their servers on the way to us.
Google Fonts
The typefaces on this site are served by Google Fonts. Loading them means your browser makes a request to Google's servers, which reveals your IP address and general browser details to Google in the ordinary course of that request. We receive none of that information.
Beyond those two, we may share your details with our own cleaners — the people actually attending your property need your address and access arrangements — and with our accountant or insurer where a specific matter requires it. Nobody else.
Sending information overseas
Our Australian work is quoted, scheduled and carried out in Australia, and the records that go with it are held here. We list a second office in the United Arab Emirates because the business answers there too, but an Australian enquiry is not routed to it and is not stored there.
The one qualification is the two services above. FormSubmit and Google Fonts are operated overseas, so what you type into a form passes through servers outside Australia on its way to our inbox, and loading the typefaces reveals your IP address to Google. If you would rather not use the form at all, email or message us and it reaches us directly.
Cookies and tracking
This site sets no advertising cookies, runs no analytics, and carries no tracking pixels or social media widgets. We do not know who you are until you contact us.
The one piece of storage we use is your browser's own session storage: if you start a quote from the pricing page, the three details you enter are held in your browser for a few seconds so the contact form can fill itself in and you don't type them twice. They are read once, erased immediately, and never reach us until you submit the form. Closing the tab clears them.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that don't turn into a booking are deleted once they're clearly stale. Records relating to work we actually did — invoices and the like — are kept for seven years, which is what Australian tax law requires of us. Ask us to delete something sooner and we will, unless we're legally required to keep it.
Keeping it safe
Access is limited to the people who need it to do their job. Keys are tagged with a code rather than an address, stored locked, and signed in and out. No system is perfectly secure, and we won't pretend otherwise — but we hold very little, and we hold it for a reason.
Seeing or correcting what we hold
You can ask us at any time what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@ausnationalservices.com.au and we'll come back to you within a few business days. There's no charge and you don't have to give a reason.
If you're not happy with how we've handled it
Tell us first — it reaches the director, not a ticket queue, and we'd rather fix it. If you're still not satisfied, you can take the matter to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information, this page changes with it and the date below is updated. We won't quietly broaden what we do with information you've already given us.
